To mark the launch of the 6th edition of the Simon Architecture Prize – Living Places, the teaser video for this new edition will be premiered on Wednesday, 27 May. This edition also marks a major milestone: the 10-year anniversary of the prize. The film has been created by Matilda Vidal de Llobatera, recipient of the Best Narrative Award in the 5th edition of the prize.

A filmmaker, photographer and audiovisual creator, Matilda grew up surrounded by nature, developing from an early age a deeply sensitive way of observing her surroundings. This perspective has led her to explore the relationships between landscape, space and architecture through documentary and television formats. She currently co-directs and directs the programme Entre quatre parets for 3Cat, and directs and co-directs Animals arquitectes for 3Cat, a programme awarded the European CIRCOM Prize for Best Music and Arts Programme among European public broadcasters.

As part of the programme of the Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026, Matilda will engage in a conversation with Sesi Bergeret, member of the jury for the 6th edition of the prize. Sesi Bergeret is a filmmaker and programmer, member of the selection committee of L’Alternativa – Barcelona Independent Film Festival since 2007, with a long-standing trajectory linked to documentary cinema and independent audiovisual practices.
