La Casa de la Luz opened its doors in March 2022 as a showroom in the centre of Madrid, integrating itself into the Princesa building that Fernando Higueras built, in collaboration with Antonio Miró, between 1967 and 1975. At the same time Side Gallery acquired La Macarrona, the house that the famous architect built between 1971 and 1976 in Somosaguas, to give it a new life. On the occasion of the participation of the Casa de la Luz in the Open House Madrid 2023, Living Places - Simon Architecture Prize brings the experience of Side Gallery founder Luis Sendino in a three-way conversation with the artist Guillermo Santomà and Maite Sebastiá about the process that is being developed in the work of the master Higueras to become the new headquarters of the gallery in Madrid.
