general aspects
This project has managed to transform a very compartmentalized 50m2 home into a spacious, bright and very efficient space in all aspects.
The house is located in the northern area of Madrid, very close to the four towers.
We removed all the partitions, so we started from a blank canvas on which we have been working on the materials for each of the walls.
A very cozy and calm color palette has been used, in which the color is provided by the furniture and lighting.
The new distribution of the home revolves around a central island that divides and organizes the space.
As a backdrop to this space, there is a floor-to-ceiling mirror wall that helps expand the space and create a play of reflections.
To ensure that the light passes through the entire home and have a 360º view, we replaced blind partitions with glass walls so as not to block the passage of natural light from the façade.
Inside this glass box, we have located the office and the bedroom, which can be connected or isolated from the rest of the house through vertical curtains that have multiple positions to generate different scenarios.
The sliding shelves serve to separate both spaces and also as storage.
The use of technology and intelligent systems have allowed us to easily regulate lighting, raise or lower blinds or control aspects such as temperature. Different scenes and environments, all with a simple click.
about the category
In 2050, seven out of ten people will live in a city, but how will we do it?
I know we can't create more space, but we can transform it
Kuù 50 is a very creative, very artisanal project for a client who was looking to balance his life and work in the same place.
Dreaming of an island in your kitchen will be a reality.
Or have a spa at home
And a movie screen in a 50m2 house?
Or an office that disappears at the end of your day
And to top it off a large bed
and feel like you are in a 5 star hotel
We are not talking about dreams, but about realities.
We have rewritten the rules of space in homes through three fundamental concepts:
The first: Custom design
Tailored for the space, but also for the inhabitant and their needs
The second: Flexible layout
Life changes and needs also evolve throughout the day or time
The third: Cutting-edge design
Designed to enhance people's well-being and quality of life
Living in a small space is not a limitation, but in terms of design we must be more creative and innovative than before.
